Know a budding artist aged 3-11 years old?
We're looking for new illustrators to be featured on the covers of our new books!
We are planning to publish THREE new children's travel activity books this summer and need some cracking front covers for them all.

If you are aged 3 - 11 years old, love drawing, and would love to see your work published, this is the perfect competition for you! ONE FREE TRAVEL ACTIVITY BOOK for all winners too.

How To Enter:
​
  1. Choose a country: Turkey, Portugal or England
  2. Get a piece of white A4 paper and some brightly coloured pens
  3. Draw a picture of something you might see while visiting your chosen country. Use our inspiration list below or do some research and think of your own
  4. Post your drawing to: Tinytourists Ltd, Ousedale, 17 Calverton Road, Milton Keynes, MK11 1LE or
  5. Scan it at 300dpi and email it to artwork@tinytourists.co.uk
  6. Write on a separate piece of paper (or within the email body) the following information:
    • The country of the activity book your picture is for: Turkey, Portugal, England
    • What you have drawn
    • Your first name
    • Your current age
    • An email address we can contact you or your parent on

7. If you post your drawing to us and would like the original returned, please enclose a Stamped Addressed envelope along with your entry with the correct postage. Without this, we will not return your drawing.
8. Post your drawing on the Tinytourists Facebook page and share with your friends. Our judges will take into consideration the drawings with the most "likes".

9. The closing date for entries is 5pm GMT Sunday 5th August.
Portugal

Beautiful golf courses, excellent football, boats, surfing, sandy beaches, custard tarts (Pateis de Nata), bottles of Port, famous explorers, fantastical hilltop castles, sunshine and seafood.

Turkey

Amazing mosques, ancient temples, Troy and the Trojan Horse, Cappadocia and hot air balloons, beautiful beaches and boats and sunshine and delicious food!

England

London, Fish and Chips, Football, Cricket, The Royal Family and its palaces, William Shakespeare, Red buses, black cabs, Scones and Tea, Thatched Roofed houses and beautiful english roses.

Hints and Tips

  • Draw as big and bold and as brightly as you can. Front cover illustrations that are bright and eye-catching are what we're looking for.
  • Choose a place or an object that is recognisable as related and distinctive to your chosen country. Think about why it might inspire other children to want to go there.
  • Don't forget this is a children's drawing competition. We're not necessarily looking for the most detailed and accurate drawing but fun, charming interpretations of sights, objects and places as seen through a child's eyes.
  • Don't draw or write on the back of the paper as this may show through and interfere with the clarity of your drawing.

What will happen next?
​
  • If your drawing is selected as a winner, congratulations! The judges' decision is final. We will contact you via email to inform you and will then use your drawing in our front cover designs. FREE BOOK! Once published, we will send you a copy of the appropriate activity book to keep and show your friends.

  • By entering this competition you confirm you agree with the following terms;
    • Entrants warrant that the drawing they submit is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
    • Copyright in all drawings submitted for this competition remains with the respective entrants. However, in consideration of their providing the Competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Tiny Tourists Ltd to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material.
    • The entrants' first name and age will be displayed alongside your drawing on our website and on our social media pages and in the acknowledgements section in all editions of our travel activity books. If you would prefer not to do this, please provide a pseudonym.
    • Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
